In 1977, Manuel García Vázquez, together with his wife María del Carmen Mosteiro Arias, began their activity with a small butcher shop in the town of Melide, which with great effort and dedication saw them progress gradually forty-three years ago. Both members of the marriage were great connoisseurs and defenders of the Galician field, and they knew what it was like to work the field and tend the cattle.
At first they bought the cattle from local farmers and neighbors to later sell the meat in their small butcher shop, but over time they began to buy the first cattle to raise and feed their own animals.
With effort and work, they began to expand their business and began selling their meat products to restaurants and different butchers throughout the Galician area.
